All of our guest suites have a Queen Bed, Private Bath, and sitting area for reading or relaxing. All are on the 2nd floor, except the Dorris Ann and Donna Von.
In case you’re wondering, the guest rooms are named for real people, important in our lives. We will be happy to share the stories, and you may even get to meet some of them during your stay.
Donna Bell Suite
Decorated in Late Victorian. Large, ornate furniture.
Queen bed and sofa.
This room has some of the best views of the Little River.


Martin Howell Suite
Decorated in Early American, with a more masculine tone.
Queen bed, beautiful river and mountain views. This is the
only guest room that still has the original windows, c.1900.

DH Tipton Suite
Decorated in late Art & Crafts. Queen bed and
sofa. Most inviting, peaceful room, with view of the
river and Mt. Nebo. Bath is located across the
hallway.


Dorris Ann Suite
Located on the ground floor, the Dorris Ann is
handicap accessible. Decorated in the Art & Crafts
style, with a river theme. Beautiful river &
mountain views. Queen bed and sitting area. Bath
is equipped with handrails and a walk-in shower.

Donna Von Suite

Common Areas
Common Areas of the inn are areas shared by all
guests. You can find a private corner to read and
relax, take a quiet walk on the grounds, or just sit
visit with other guests.
Around the rooms, you will find special artifacts and
pictures detailing the history of the Chilhowee Inn,
Walland, and original artwork of the Smoky
Mountains.
The large Foyer provides guests an additional area
to sit, relax, or visit. This is the main entrance to the
inn. Decorated in Victorian, with replica Gas Light
fixtures of that era.

The Family Room is a place where guests can relax,
visit, or curl up with a good book by the fireplace.
A hot breakfast is served in the Family Room each
morning for all guests.

in a rocking chair and experience the
beauty of the river during a mountain
sunset.

The Family Room provides 900 square feet of space that will accommodate up to 75 people. It may be reserved for special events, receptions, and meetings. Larger groups can also be accommodated. Please see “Event Planning” for details.
